The following is an overview of the days and the corresponding celebration declared by the United Nations that apply to Sunday, 2018-06-17:

• World Day to Combat Desertification and Drought:

  In order to raise awareness among governments, organizations and individuals on the responsibility of everyone about the sustainable use of water and land and the implementation of measures to prepare and anticipate water shortages, desertification and drought, in 1994 the General Assembly of the United Nations declared June 17 as the World Day to Combat Desertification and Drought.
