  • Golden Week - Day 1 - ゴールデンウィーク:

    [gov] (Pronounced Gōruden Wīku) Golden Week is the 7-day period starting April 29th, in which several national Japanese holidays are contained. Many Japanese take paid time off during this period, and some companies are closed down completely and give their employees time off. Golden Week is the longest vacation period of the year for many Japanese jobs.
