Oldest electrical coding system still in use

According to Official Guinness Records,

On 24 May 1844, a line of code was transmitted by telegraph between the old Supreme Court chamber in Washington, DC by Samuel Morse to his partner in Baltimore (all USA). The sending of the message - which read “What has God wrought?” - hailed the beginning of modern telecommunications and, more than 160 years later, Morse Code is still in use.
