According to Official Guinness Records,

The fastest time to skate 1 km backwards is 2 min 8 sec, achieved by Prayatn Sharma (India), in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, India, on 21 June 2015. Prayatn Sharma wore commercially available quad skates for this attempt.
