First ascent of the Shark's Fin route, Meru Peak

According to Official Guinness Records,

The first ascent of the Shark's Fin route, Meru Peak, was achieved by Conrad Anker, Jimmy Chin and Renan Ozturk (all USA) at the summit of Meru’s central peak, in India, on 2 October 2011. The mountain known as Meru Peak actually has three peaks - the southern, central and northern peaks. The Shark's Fin route up the 6,310 m (20,702 ft) central peak has long been known as one of the most difficult climbs in the world. The ascent by Anker, Chin and Ozturk is the subject of the film 'Meru', directed by Jimmy Chin and Elizabeth Chai Vasarhelyi. The film won the U.S. Audience Documentary Award at the 2015 Sundance Film Festival.
