First tightrope walk at the base of Niagara Falls

According to Official Guinness Records,

On 15 June 2012, daredevil and circus legend Nik Wallenda (USA) became the first tightrope walker to cross Niagara Falls at the base – as opposed to crossing over the gorge, upriver, as previous funambulists have done. Wallenda walked 550 m (1,804 ft 5 in) from Goat Island in the USA, passing directly over the Falls, to Table Rock in Canada.
