According to Official Guinness Records,

The largest food drive by a non-charitable organization in 24 hours was set by the North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics Food Drive who collected 254,493 kg (559,885 lb) of food in Durham, North Carolina, USA, on 5 March 2011.
The food was collected over a 18 hour period.
