According to Official Guinness Records,

The most barefoot waterskiers towed backwards behind a single boat is 12, and was achieved by the Wisconsin Barefooters (USA), at South Wood Country Park on Lake Wazeecha, in Grand Rapids, Wisconsin, USA, on 20 August 2016. The Wisconsin Barefooters attempted this record to establish themselves as Guinness World Records title holders.
