The most money raised for charity through head shaving by an individual is $121,000 (£82,000) by Dr. William Dorfman, on the set of "The Doctors" at Paramount Studios, Los Angeles, California, USA, on 21 January 2010.
Dr. Dorfman is an active philanthropist as well as the recognised celebrity cosmetic dentist from the hit show "Extreme Makeover" (USA). Money was raised for The LEAP Foundation - a non-profit organisation dedicated to helping high school and college students across the USA gain valuable life skills.
