According to Official Guinness Records,

The most oil lamps lit simultaneously at a single venue is 2,500, achieved by Athisivasakthi Chittar Gnanabeedam Rutrar V. Rajkumar (India) at Pattukottai Kargavavayal, Thanjavur, India on 29 October 2017.There were more than 10,000 participants with lamps in attendance however not all could be included in the attempt.
