The most parents reading to their children simultaneously is 2,479 and was achieved by Shenyang McDonald's (Restaurants Food) Co., Ltd. (China) at Shenyang, Liaoning, China, on 17 October 2015. There were 2,752 adults and 1,376 children taking part in the event, with 273 adults disqualified for not following the guidelines.
