According to Official Guinness Records,

The most participants in a game of tag in 24 hours at multiple locations is 20,541 and was achieved by Boys & Girls Clubs of America (USA) at 335 locations worldwide from 19-20 April 2012.
This was the 2nd attempt for Boys & Girls Clubs of America and along with their other record for the most people star jumping simultaneously at multiple venues, is part of an effort to encourage good fitness and healthy lifestyles for children.
