The most people bouncing beach tennis balls is 342 and was achieved by Havaianas in Playa Mariano, Mar del Plata, Argentina, on 9 January 2015 Havaianas used the 3rd generation of their beach tennis rackets, havaletas, designed in the signature style of their thong sandals to break this record for the second time. The attempt took place at Playa Mariano in Mar del Plata, a popular summer beach town. The sales of these havaletas continue to benefit the children's hospital Fundación Garrahan and the havaletas are also good for the environment with 20% of the racquet made from recycled plastic.
