Most wastewater recycled to drinking water in 24 hours is 100,000,008 US gal (83,267,426 UK gal), and was achieved by Groundwater Replenishment System (USA) in Orange County, California, USA, on February 16, 2018.The attempt marked the 10 year anniversary of the water purification facility's opening, and demonstrates how the system significantly supplements the water supply to Orange County, California.
