Smallest map

According to Official Guinness Records,

In 1992, Dr Jonathon Mamin of IBMs Zürich laboratory used sudden electrical pulses to create a map of the Western Hemisphere from atoms. The map has a scale of one trillion to one, and has a diameter of about one micron (one millionth of a meter), which is about one hundredth of the diameter of a human hair (ª Science & Technology—Smallest man-made object).
