International Days April 29 2018 (United Nations)

The following is an overview of the days and the corresponding celebration declared by the United Nations that apply to Sunday, 2018-04-29:

  • Day of Remembrance for all Victims of Chemical Warfare:

    The Conference of the States Parties at its Tenth Session decided that a memorial Day of Remembrance for all Victims of Chemical Warfare would be observed on 29 April each year. This commemoration will provide an opportunity to pay tribute to the victims of chemical warfare, as well as to reaffirm the commitment of the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) to the elimination of the threat of chemical weapons.
  • World Immunization Week - Day 6:

    [WHO] The World Immunization Week is a world-wide public health campaign to raise awareness of the importance of improving vaccination delivery services and increasing rates of immunization against vaccine-preventable diseases. It takes place each year during last week of April.
