National Forest Products Week - Day 1: [fed-ob] This year National Forest Products Week starts on Sunday, October 15 2023 and ends on Saturday, October 21 2023. To recognize the importance of products from our forests, the Congress, by Public Law 86-753 (36 U.S.C. 123), as amended, has designated the week beginning on the third Sunday in October of each year as "National Forest Products Week" and has authorized and requested the President to issue a proclamation in observance of this week each year.

National Latino AIDS Awareness Day: [nhas] The Latino Commission on AIDS, the Hispanic Federation and many other organizations organize this day. According to the official notes,
National Latino AIDS Awareness Day (NLAAD) is a national community mobilization and social marketing campaign that unites the Hispanic/Latino community in efforts to raise awareness, prevention and education of HIV, Viral Hepatitis, Sexually Transmitted Infections and Tuberculosis.
