    April 6 commemorates the date of the United States' entry into World War I in 1917. Army Day was established by then President Roosevelt in the proclamation #2542 dated March 20, 1942. This day now serves as a nationwide observance to draw public attention to national defense and to acquaint the public with Army activities.
  • World War I Day:

  • Tartan Day:
