According to Official Guinness Records,

The highest stack of crates climbed is 12.74 metres (41.79 feet), completed by Christof Riesenhuber (Austria) at Haidlmair GmbH in Nußbach, Austria, on 18 September 2009. Christof accomplished this record in 8 minutes and 19 seconds. The dimensions of the crates were 39.4 centimetres in length, 30 centimetres in width, and 26 centimetres in height. Christof stacked 49 beer crates in a single column. In addition to Christof's record, a certificate was also issued to Christof's co-worker Christian Riel, who stacked 45 beer crates to a height of 11.70 metres (38.38 feet) to break the previous record prior to Christof's attempt.
