Fastest swim long course 50 metres breaststroke (male)

According to Official Guinness Records,

At the 2017 FINA World Swimming Championships, Adam Peaty (UK) won the semi-final of the 50 m breaststroke in 25.95 seconds at the Danube Arena in Hungary, Budapest, on 25 July 2017. It was the first time any swimmer had broken the 26-second barrier in this event. Peaty broke his own record twice in the same day, having recorded a time of 26.10 seconds in an earlier heat.
