First 3D screening to a paying audience

According to Official Guinness Records,

Research by historian Daniel L Symmes suggests that the documentary short Movies of the Future (USA, 1922), directed by William Van Doren Kelley (USA), was the first stereoscopic print shown to a paying audience. The 14-minute movie explored this nascent film technology and was shown at the Rivoli Theater in New York City, USA, in 1922.
