First attack by an unmanned aerial vehicle

According to Official Guinness Records,

The earliest known offensive use of an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) occurred in Yemen on 3 November 2002, when an AGM-114 Hellfire missile was fired from a CIA-operated General Atomics RQ-1 Predator at six alleged Al-Qaeda operatives travelling in a car.Prior to this attack the Predator was used exclusively for reconnaissance and surveillance.UAVs are different to guided missiles because they are remotely controlled as opposed to automatically guided. In addition they return to base after completing their missions.
