First photosynthesis

According to Official Guinness Records,

Chemical evidence in ancient rocks from Greenland suggest that photosynthesis was occurring on Earth 3.7 billion years ago - around a billion years earlier than previously believed. The analysis was carried out by scientists from the University of Copenhagen, Denmark, and published in Earth and Planetary Science Letters journal in December 2003.
