First television programme filmed from an aircraft

According to Official Guinness Records,

A 45-minute transmission on 6 March 1940 by NBC (USA) was taken from a plane over New York City, USA to televise scenes 6.1 km (20,000 ft) below.
On the 30 September 1950, a BBC outside broadcast unit used a Bristol Freighter transport plane to take panoramic pictures of London, UK. The programme took on the aspect of a mini-air display as some of Britain's airliners flew close-up, made their bow and turned away, along with an escort of Royal Air Force Spitfires.
