Freediving – static apnea (women) (breath hold duration)

According to Official Guinness Records,

The AIDA-approved static apnea record is 9 minutes 2 seconds and was achieved by Natalia Molchanova (Russia) at the Individual AIDA Pool World Championships in Belgrade, Serbia, on 29 June 2013. It was her third world record of the championships, and the first time any woman had held her breath for longer than 9 minutes.Molchanova is the most decorated female freediver ever, having set more than 40 world records and won at least 20 gold medals during her career. In August 2015, she went missing during a recreational dive in Spain and is presumed dead.
