According to Official Guinness Records,

The freediving record, variable weight apnea, by a male diver is 146 m (479 ft) and was achieved by Stavros Kastrinakis (Greece) in Kalamata, Greece, on 1 November 2015.This was Stavros Kastrinakis' first world record; it took him 3 minutes 33 seconds to return to the surface from a depth of 146 metres.
