Highest death toll from a volcanic eruption

According to Official Guinness Records,

When the Tambora volcano in Sumbawa, Indonesia (then Dutch East Indies), erupted from 5 to 10 April 1815, at least 71,000 people were killed. Estimates of the total number of casualties are necessarily vague, and some sources put the total at nearer 121,000.
