Highest pole vault (male) (outdoors)

According to Official Guinness Records,

Renaud Lavillenie (France) cleared a height of 6.16 metres (20 feet 2.5 inches) at the Pole Vault Stars meeting in Donetsk, Ukraine, on 15 February 2014. Although the pole vault competition took place indoors, since 2000 the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) have ruled that world records can be set in a facility “with or without a roof” – so Lavillenie’s mark is acknowledged as higher than Sergei Bubka’s previous outdoor record of 6.14 metres (20 feet 1.7 inches), set on 31 July 1994.
