According to Official Guinness Records,

The record for the largest collection of owls consists of 19,100 items and is owned by Yaakov Chai (Israel) as verified in Tel-Aviv, Israel on 4 August 2016.Yaakov Chai passed away before the collection was verified, and it that time friends and loved ones have donated owls, bringing the total up to 20,239.
