Largest collection of silver coins

According to Official Guinness Records,

The largest collection of silver coins consists of 1,600 non-duplicate coins from around the world, and belongs to José Manuel Costa Lavín (Mexico).
At the encouragement of his family,José Manuel Costa Lavín began to travel the world in 2001 as a means to distract himself from cancer he was battling at the time. During his journeys he began to collect various coins - each coin individually authenticated - and today lives completely free of cancer. Danny Girton Jr. adjudicated.
