According to Official Guinness Records,
The largest colombian folk dance consisted of 555 couples and was achieved by Club Campestre Neiva and Frank Corredor (both Colombia) at the Club Campestre Neiva, Neiva, Colombia, on 30 June 2013. The record attempt took place during the annual San Juan celebrations which are visited by people from across Colombia. Each particpant was in traditional dress which for the men comprised of a white shirt, three-buckled belt, red hankerchief and hat. The women wear a white blouse and a long white skirt with handmade flowered-designs, the average skirt weighs 5 kilos. The dance itself is a flirtatious dance done in pairs and is called the sanjuanero huilense as it comes from the state of Huila of which Neiva is the capital. Both members of the public and professional dancers took part with two rehearsals the night of the event and training sessions held in the 3 months leading up to the festival.
