According to Official Guinness Records,

The largest gathering of people dressed in Hanfu clothing (multiple venues) is 5,336 and was achieved by Zhang Huijie and Huaiyang County Tourism Bureau (both China) in Huaiyang, Henan, China, on 26 August 2018.The purpose of this event was to promote traditional Chinese etiquette.
