According to Official Guinness Records,

The largest human animal image consisted of 3,614 participants and was achieved by the University of Pittsburgh Class of 2017 (USA) in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA, on 21 August 2013.
The students of the University of Pittsburgh Class of 2017 stayed in position for six minutes to form the image of a panther.
