According to Official Guinness Records,

The largest ice lantern display contains 5,622 ice lanterns, and was achieved by Centre Foundation and the Make Space (both USA) in State College, Pennsylvania, USA, on 4 February 2017. This record was attempted to engage the local community in working toward a common goal to create community pride.
