According to Official Guinness Records,

The greatest invasion in military history was the Allied land, air and sea operation against the Normandy coast of France on D-Day, 6 June 1944. On the first three days 38 convoys of 745 ships moved in, supported by 4,066 landing craft carrying 185,000 men and 20,000 vehicles, and 347 minesweepers. The air assault comprised 18,000 paratroopers from 1,087 aircraft. The 42 available divisions had air support from 13,175 aircraft. Within a month 1,100,000 troops, 200,000 vehicles and 750,000 tons of stores were landed.
