Largest trail riding competition

According to Official Guinness Records,

The largest trail riding competition involved a total of 974 riders at various locations across the USA achieved by American Competitive Trail Horse Association and the Humane Society of the United States on 13 June 2010.
A total of 24 states throughout the US were part of the attempt. All proceeds were donated to horse rescue charities across the US. Riders, sponsors and volunteers worked together and ended up raising over $69,000.
