Least explored continent

According to Official Guinness Records,

The southern polar continent of Antarctica was completely unknown until discovered its shoreline was first sighted in 1820 by English sea captain William Smith and Russian explorer Fabian Gottlieb von Bellingshausen. The first people to set foot on the Antarctic mainland are believed to be the crew of the American sealing ship Cecilia who landed at Hughes Bay on 7 February 1821.
