According to Official Guinness Records,

The longest cape measures 44.27 m (145 ft 2.91 in) and was achieved by Blue Peter in celebration of Guinness World Records Day 2015 (UK) at MediaCityUK in Salford, UK, on 12 November 2015.The record took place on Guinness World Records Day 2015 in aid of Children In Need. Girl Guides, Brownies, Rainbows and The Women's Institute helped to make the cape.
