Longest career as a police officer

According to Official Guinness Records,

Detective Lieutenant Andrew F. Anewenter (USA, b. 12 January 1916) worked continuously as a police officer for 61 years, for the Milwaukee (Wisconsin) Police Department from 1 June 1942 until his retirement on 15 May 2003.
Mr Anewenter died on 20 August 2003.
