According to Official Guinness Records,

The longest chain of safety pins measures 1,733.1 m (5,686 ft 0.2 in), achieved by Sri Harsha Nune and Sri Navya Nune (both India) in Gujarat, India, on 23 April 2018. The chain consisted of 72,790 pins.
