According to Official Guinness Records,

The longest credit on a single is 1,491 people on the recording 'Was Ist Passiert?' released by PUR (Germany) on 20 October 2003 in Germany.
Those credited are fans who registered via the band's website. The single had over 21,000 sales in Germany to February 2004, and the credit is printed in the liner notes as well as read out by the band on the recording itself.
