According to Official Guinness Records,

The longest distance riding backwards (free wheel) is 44.34 m (145 ft 5.6 in), achieved by Claude Hickman (USA) in Riverside, California, USA, on 21 March 2017.To teach his boys the value of setting challenging goals in life, Claude attempted this record while surrounded by friends and family in Riverside, California. Achieving a Guinness World Records title had been a goal of his for twelve years prior to this attempt.
