Longest distance swimming in relay

According to Official Guinness Records,

The record for the longest team swimming marathon is 240 hours and was set by Matt Howard, Todd Primmer, Matt Murphy, Sue Meckley, John Kocher and Dave Schilling (all USA). The team of six completed a distance of 469.5 miles (755.58 km) in the YMCA Pool, Newark, Ohio, USA on 24 August 1979.
This was rejected at the time as a rested category however has now been re-instated. Future attempts will have to beat both time and distance. Teams of six only.
