Longest living quadriplegic (incomplete)

According to Official Guinness Records,

The longest living quadriplegic (incomplete) is Janet Barnes (b. 09 October 1928, USA), who was born with a broken neck and was a quadriplegic for 83 years, 5 months, 12 days, as of 21 March 2012.Janet Barnes had C5 motor incomplete tetraplegia her entire life. During her extraordinary life, Janet was a wife, a mother of four, an inventor (inventing a special bicycle at the age of 16), an entrepreneur (working from home as a photo retoucher), an artist and a writer. During the last 20 years of her life, she volunteered as an elementary school teacher's aide (as a volunteer grandmother) in Columbia, Missouri and was affectionately known as Grandma Janet by thousands of children, parents and people in her community.
