The loudest crowd roar at an indoor sports event was 130.4 dbA, and was achieved by fans of the Kansas Jayhawks (USA) at the men’s basketball game vs. West Virginia, in Lawrence, Kansas, USA, on 13 February 2017.The Guinness World Records successful record attempt of 130.4 dbA took place before the game tipped off, however the excitable crowd's noise was monitored peaking at 129.2 dbA during a tense game that ultimately resulted in Kansas forcing an overtime win.
