Most Basketball Olympic Golds (Women)

According to Official Guinness Records,

The most basketball Olympic gold medals won by a women’s team is 8, achieved by Team USA (USA) from the Los Angeles 1984 to the Rio 2016 Olympics. The USA first won gold in 1984 and won gold again in 1988. They then went on to win six consecutive Olympic Games from 1996 to 2016. Women's basketball became an Olympic Sport in 1976 with the Soviet Union winning the first two tournaments.
