The most coins collected in a single round of Coin Runners team of 4 in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is 53, and was achieved by Callum Knight, Ross Thompson, Sam Homewood and Sean Thorne (all UK) at the Guinness World Records Gamers: The Showdown event at YouTube Space, London, UK, on 28 November 2017.This record was set during Guinness World Records Gamers: The Showdown event at YouTube Space, London, which was a live stream via YouTube. The game was played on a Nintendo Switch in docked mode using individual joy cons with the official joy con grip attachment. All players played as Yoshi and they chose Wuhu Town for the attempt.
