Most consecutive Dakar rallies raced

According to Official Guinness Records,

The most consecutive Dakar rallies raced is 35, achieved by Yoshimasa Sugawara (Japan) from 1983 to 2018.The 2018 Dakar Rally's route started in Lima, Peru on 6 February 2018, going through Uyuni, Bolivia, and finished in Córdoba, Argentina on 20 February 2018.Although Yoshimasa registered to race the 2008 Dakar Rally, it is not included in the record figure due to the whole race being cancelled.
