The most hair dyed in an 8 hour relay is 160 heads of hair and was achieved by Laboratorio Hedaly (Argentina) in Puerto Madero, Buenos Aires, Argentina, on 17 March 2013 The event took place from 11:18 and finished well within the 8 hour timeframe - taking just 4 hours 30 minutes to dye the hair of 160 people. As per the rules only 10 hairdressers performed the hair dyeing at any one time. In total 50 took part during the day. Assistants were on hand to help with the washing and drying of the hair following the dyeing process. Several famous people had their hair dyed during the event including Roberto Pettinato who was the record-breaker by being the 126th person to have his hair dyed to break the previous record. The record attempt was to celebrate the Dia de Coloración (Hair dyeing day) and the 317 brand was used on all participants.
