According to Official Guinness Records,

The most mariachis performing is 700 and was achieved at an event organized by the Guadalajara Chamber of Commerce, Services and Tourism (Mexico), during the 20th annual Encuentro Internacional del Mariachi y la Charrería in Guadalajara, Mexico, on 5 September 2013.
